Madrid, April 28, 2025 – The ordinary general assembly of the Madrid Audiovisual Cluster was held last Thursday, welcoming new members who have joined in recent months. The meeting took place on the set of member company Estudio Super8 in central Madrid and served as a space to review achievements, set new challenges, and continue guiding the sector’s growth.

The session included the participation of Raúl Berdonés, president of the Cluster representing Secuoya Content Group; Gonzalo Cabrera, Director General of Cultural Promotion of the Community of Madrid; Nacho Carballo, Audiovisual Industries Advisor of the Community of Madrid; Rosario Urdín, Technical Advisor of the Madrid City Council; Teresa Azcona, Managing Director of the Cluster; and Patricia Motilla, Secretary of the Cluster.

During the assembly, the annual accounts, the 2024 report, and the management of the Board of Directors were approved. The statutes were also updated, creating a new position: Board Member for Markets and Regulation.

Activities carried out and planned for 2025 were also presented. Among the highlights is the 1st Madrid Audiovisual Investment Forum, held successfully in January to explore new long-term funding and investment opportunities in the sector.

As for upcoming actions, the Cluster is already working on organizing an independent film financing forum in June in collaboration with ECAM, and a sustainability meeting in July with Mrs. Greenfilm and Tüv Süd, leading companies in environmental consulting and/or sustainable development. Additionally, the Madrid Audiovisual Observatory will be launched.

At the end of the meeting, attendees had the opportunity to speak with María Coronado, Director of Audiovisual at SETT, who shared the latest news on SETT’s investment plan.

This fund is part of the Spain Audiovisual Hub Plan, aimed at consolidating and boosting the Spanish audiovisual industry as a strategic sector for the country. The Madrid Audiovisual Cluster aims to strengthen Madrid’s audiovisual sector by fostering cohesion and mutual support among companies. It actively promotes the development of value- and talent-driven projects and encourages synergies with Madrid’s business, industrial, and service ecosystems, as well as with public administration, universities, training centers, and other economic stakeholders.
